Traceable to Plantation

The traceability of Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) entering the palm oil mills is currently considered important due to the fact that we must ensure that the CPO is derived from reliable sources. The source of FFB can originate from the core plantations and the community of palm oil farmers around the mills, be they farmer groups, independent farmers or other business units.

Efforts in tracing FFB are done through gradual search of the identities and geo-locations of FFB as part of various approaches towards supplier identification. This process takes a long time due to the complexity of the supply chain at the multi-level farmers’ stage.
