PT Mamuang, a subsidiary of Astra Agro Lestari, provided assistance through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program by distributing heavy equipment to support road infrastructure repairs in the Rio Pakava Subdistrict of Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi.
The aid covers road repairment tools in the effort to connect three villages: Lalundu Village, Pancamukti Village, and Bonemarawa Village. The total length of the roads to be repaired is approximately 2.5 kilometers.
The fill material for the repairs was prepared by the community through cooperative efforts among the three villages. The road construction process is expected to take two days, using sand and stone fill supplies transported by residents’ dump trucks.
Ketut Kariana, a member of the Donggala Regency DPRD who represented the community, expressed his gratitude for PT Mamuang’s support. He noted that the company’s involvement was very beneficial for the community in repairing essential infrastructure.
“We, as representatives of the Rio Pakava Subdistrict community, would like to thank PT Mamuang for taking the time to provide heavy equipment to assist us. We are very grateful,” he stated.
Kariana also hoped that the positive relationship between the community and the company would continue. “We hope that, in the future, the community in Rio Pakava Subdistrict will maintain good relations with companies, especially PT Mamuang, which has directly helped repair the roads around our village,” he added.
M. Satria ACP, an administrator at PT Mamuang, echoed this sentiment. He emphasized that the company’s support for road repairs is a tangible demonstration of its commitment to addressing community needs in the operational area.
“We are committed to supporting village development, particularly in providing essential infrastructure for the community. These road repairs are expected to enhance the mobility of residents and contribute to mutual prosperity,” Satria said.
He also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the community and the company to ensure sustainable development in the Rio Pakava Subdistrict. “We greatly appreciate the community’s spirit of cooperation in providing the materials for road construction. This showcases the strong synergy between the company and the residents,” he concluded.
