PELALAWAN— PT Sari Lembah Subur (SLS) continues to demonstrate its commitment to environmental conservation while promoting the economic potential of local communities. Through its greening program, the company distributed 40 alligator avocado seedlings to residents of RT 005/RW 003, Dusun II Sukamakmur, Rawang Sari Village, Pangkalan Lesung District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau, on Wednesday (August 12, 2026).
The assistance marked the first phase of PT SLS’s greening program. In addition to supporting environmental greening efforts, the planting of alligator avocado trees is expected to provide long-term productive benefits for the community.
PT Sari Lembah Subur CSR Assistant Hanafi said the program was part of the company’s commitment to supporting the needs of communities living in the areas where it operates.
According to him, the program will continue to be evaluated to assess its benefits and impact on the community, including opportunities to support economic development through micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
“This assistance is aligned with the company’s programs. We will continue to evaluate it, including its impact on community MSMEs, particularly those in villages surrounding the company’s operational areas,” Hanafi said.
He explained that the assistance was also given in response to a request from the local community. The company seeks to align its programs with residents’ needs.
“This assistance was provided based on a request from the residents. We assess the community’s needs and align them with the company’s programs,” he said.
Hanafi expressed hope that the distribution of 40 alligator avocado seedlings in this first phase would serve as an initial step toward developing greening activities that provide not only ecological benefits but also economic value for the community.
Meanwhile, community leader Budi Yanto expressed his appreciation and gratitude to PT Sari Lembah Subur for the company’s attention and concern for the people of Rawang Sari Village.
“We would like to thank and express our appreciation to PT Sari Lembah Subur for its attention to the community through this program. The assistance of 40 alligator avocado seedlings will certainly be very beneficial to the residents,” Budi Yanto said.
Budi hopes that the trees distributed through the program will be properly maintained and developed sustainably so that they can eventually benefit the community, both environmentally and economically.
He also expressed hope that similar programs would continue, strengthening the relationship and partnership between PT SLS and communities in villages surrounding the company’s operational areas.
The greening program in RT 005/RW 003, Dusun II Sukamakmur, Rawang Sari Village, represents one of the company’s efforts to support the productive and sustainable utilisation of the environment.
By choosing alligator avocado trees, the community can benefit not only from environmental greening but also from the opportunity to develop economically valuable agricultural products when properly and sustainably managed.
PT Sari Lembah Subur hopes that the program will provide tangible benefits to the community while further strengthening synergy and positive relationships with villages surrounding the company’s operational areas.
