PT Sari Aditya Loka (PT SAL) and the Sarolangun Police have enhanced their collaboration in preparing for, preventing, and responding to forest and land fires.
This partnership was formalized with the handover of firefighting equipment and supporting facilities at the Sarolangun Police Headquarters on Tuesday.
Sarolangun Police Chief AKBP Wendi Oktariansyah emphasized that preventing and addressing forest and land fires is not solely the responsibility of the police or government.
He stated that addressing forest and land fires requires active participation from all sectors of society, including businesses and the private sector.
The Police Chief also expressed his appreciation to the management of PT Sari Aditya Loka 1 for their support in strengthening preparedness for forest and land fires in Sarolangun Regency.
“Addressing forest and land fires is not solely the responsibility of the police or the government. It requires the active involvement of communities and the private sector. We highly appreciate the management of PT SAL. This assistance is an excellent and tangible contribution to supporting forest and land fire prevention and response efforts,” said the Police Chief.
Joko Susilo, PP CDAM of PT SAL and representative of PT Sari Aditya Loka 1 management, stated that the equipment was provided to support the Sarolangun Police in preparing for and responding to potential forest and land fires.
He added that the partnership between PT SAL and the Sarolangun Police would continue, extending beyond fire prevention to support public security and community services.
The equipment provided included firefighting suits, helmets, gloves, boots, backpack water pumps, fire rakes, masks, Robin pumps, fire hoses, servo dry chemical powder extinguishers, electric sprayers, and gebyok firefighting tools.
This assistance is expected to enhance facilities and equipment for field personnel, particularly in responding to potential forest and land fires in Sarolangun Regency.
The collaboration between PT Sari Aditya Loka 1 and the Sarolangun Police demonstrates effective cooperation between law enforcement and the private sector to strengthen preparedness and improve forest and land fire prevention and response.
Ongoing collaboration is expected to further improve public safety, environmental protection, and the quality of services provided to the people of Sarolangun Regency.
