JAMBI – Improving the quality of life for indigenous communities, particularly in remote areas, remains challenging, especially regarding access to healthcare and education. PT Sari Aditya Loka (SAL) is addressing this by enhancing support for the Anak Dalam Tribe (SAD) in Sarolangun, Jambi.
In 2025, the company established six dedicated SAD posyandu and reached 313 households through mobile health services and ambulance support. This program significantly contributes to stunting prevention and improves essential health services for the indigenous community. The company aims to enhance quality of life and reduce the spread of infectious diseases through these health initiatives.
The company’s approach includes not only health services but also capacity building for local cadres and ongoing support. By developing posyandu, providing supplementary food, and collaborating with community health centers, interventions are delivered in a structured way to ensure lasting community impact.
“The company also received appreciation from the local government for its tangible contributions, including an award from Merangin Regency and a certificate for Foster Parents Preventing Stunting (GENTING) from the Jambi Province BKKBN,” said PT SAL Sustainability Assistant, Slamet Riyadi.
In education, PT SAL has established 13 schools serving 412 students and provided Wisma Madu Rimbo as a residence, enabling SAD students to pursue education through the secondary level.
Support for educators and learning facilities is essential to sustaining education for SAD children. These efforts increase school participation and create opportunities for the younger generation to build a better future.
This initiative demonstrates that business involvement can accelerate equitable access to basic services and support national efforts to reduce stunting and improve human resources in underdeveloped areas.
