PT Letawa has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of education through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Astra Cerdas. The company awarded academic achievement scholarships to 55 high-achieving students from several villages within the company’s Ring 1 operational area.
The scholarships were presented at the SD Inpres Kalukumbeo Lariang school building in Lariang Village, Tikke Raya District, Pasangkayu Regency. The assistance was handed over by PT Letawa CSR representative Ahmad Faizal and received by school representative Fendi Eko, accompanied by teachers.
The scholarship program is part of the Astra Cerdas initiative, which aims to encourage students’ motivation to learn while supporting the quality of education for young people living around the company’s operational areas.
School representative Fendi Eko expressed his appreciation for PT Letawa’s support for education in Tikke Raya. He said the scholarships not only help students meet their educational needs but also motivate them to continue improving their academic achievements.
“We are very grateful for this support. These scholarships motivate the students to study harder and achieve better results. This is a significant investment in the future of education for young people in our area,” he said in a statement on Monday.
He expressed hope that PT Letawa would continue to operate responsibly so that its various public contributions and CSR programs could be sustained in the Tikke Raya area.
One of the scholarship recipients, Nuraisya Putri, a resident of Bukit Harapan Hamlet, Lariang Village, also expressed her gratitude. She said she would use the assistance to purchase a school bag and other school supplies.
Appreciation was also expressed by Nurjannah, the parent of Adibah Humaira, a sixth-grade student from Lione Hamlet. She said the scholarship program could motivate children to study harder.
“Thank you to PT Letawa for providing these scholarships. This initiative has been very motivating for my daughter to study harder. We hope it will continue to inspire greater commitment to education,” she said.
Meanwhile, Tikke Raya District Head Muh. Andi Saleh expressed his appreciation for PT Letawa’s contribution through its education programs. He said the distribution of scholarships to 55 students from elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels represents an investment in the future of the younger generation.

In addition to the scholarships, Muh. Andi Saleh also appreciated PT Letawa’s regular program of providing incentives to 35 teachers across 20 schools in Tikke Raya District.
According to him, collaboration among the company, government, and community needs to be continually strengthened to ensure that various educational programs deliver sustainable benefits.
“We believe that education is the main foundation for developing excellent and competitive human resources. We hope the strong collaboration between PT Letawa, the government, and the community can continue,” he said.
PT Letawa management representative Rendy H. Prabowo said the Astra Cerdas program is expected to encourage students to continue pursuing their aspirations and make positive contributions to society.
