Jakarta – PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk received the 8th Indonesia CSR Brand Equity Award 2026 in the Palm Oil category from The Iconomics Media. This award acknowledges Astra Agro’s ongoing commitment to impactful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs that support community development and environmental sustainability.
Astra Agro’s CSR initiatives were recognized for their comprehensive approach, addressing economic empowerment, education, public health, environmental conservation, and climate change mitigation.
The company’s CSR strategy is based on four key pillars: Astra Kreatif, Astra Cerdas, Astra Sehat, and Astra Hijau, which focus on economic empowerment, education, community health, and environmental preservation.
Joko Subagio, CSR Manager of Astra Agro, stated that these programs are designed to balance economic growth, social development, and environmental sustainability.
“Through these four CSR pillars, the company aims to balance economic growth, social progress, and environmental stewardship, while providing practical solutions to challenges faced by communities,” he said.
This recognition further strengthens Astra Agro’s position as an agribusiness company committed to both business performance and meaningful social contributions that support sustainable development in Indonesia.
Indonesia’s Vice Minister of Social Affairs, Agus Jabo Priyono, emphasised that CSR should be integrated into sustainable development through consistent, long-term community development. Award recipients were selected based on a survey of 10,000 respondents across 10 major Indonesian cities.
Bram S. Putro, Founder and CEO of The Iconomics Media, expressed hope that the awards will encourage organisations to implement CSR programs more collaboratively and strategically.
