Astra Agro Lestari acknowledges that responsible production of palm oil is a vital requirement, therefore we always seek to maintain balance between the interests of society, the environment, the sustainable profitability of the economy, partnership, and peace which are in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs).  Astra Agro Lestari’s Sustainability Policy reflects our ongoing efforts in applying efficient practices throughout the protection of forests and peatlands, respecting human rights, ensuring safe and stable conditions for all employees and communities within our vicinity. We will conserve forests, peatlands, human rights and collaborate with smallholders, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders to implement our sustainability principles.

As an important part of ongoing efforts to deliver on the Sustainability Policy, Astra Agro has established 3-Year sustainability Action Plan 2018-2020 and have executed the implementation completely. Now, Astra Agro comes to a new chapter of its sustainability phase with the establishment of  5-Year sustainability Action Plan 2021 – 2025 which is more comprehensive and will be implemented in its operation accordingly.
