The palm oil industry continues to communicate its operational practices and sustainability commitments to the public. Education is essential due to the industry’s significant contribution to community welfare.
Mochamad Husni, Vice President of Corporate Communication at Astra Agro Lestari, conveyed this message during the Visit Emiten 2026 event, which was organized by the Capital Market Study Group of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UPN Veteran Jakarta. The event aimed to broaden students’ understanding of investment, capital markets, and corporate business processes through a direct visit to the national palm oil plantation company listed under the stock code AALI.
President of KSPM 9.0, Anugerah Putra Prasetyo, stated that investors need to understand not only numerical movements in the capital market but also the business processes of companies. According to him, direct visits to companies are important so that students can gain a more comprehensive understanding of business fundamentals.
“As investors, we should not only focus on numbers, but also understand how the business processes actually take place,” said Anugerah.
He hopes the activity will provide participants with valuable insights into the company’s operations and business fundamentals firsthand.
Meanwhile, the Project Officer for Visit Emiten 2026, Dinda Suci Batalano, said the event’s theme was chosen to foster understanding of the importance of assessing investment value from both business and corporate sustainability perspectives.
“Through this educational visit, we hope participants can gain real and in-depth learning experiences about the industrial sector and capital markets,” she said.

Mochamad Husni welcomed the students’ visit and considered the activity part of the company’s efforts to create educational opportunities for the younger generation regarding the corporate world and capital markets.
According to him, the issuer visit activity provides students with the opportunity to directly observe how companies operate their businesses, face industry challenges, and implement sustainability principles in their operational activities.
“We hope that through this visit, participants will not only become familiar with the company through numbers and financial reports, but also understand its business processes, governance practices, and commitment to sustainability and the environment,” said Husni.
He added that the company hopes the activity can provide students with new insights into the professional world and the national plantation industry.
“We hope this activity becomes a valuable learning experience and inspires students to continue developing their competencies and perspectives toward the industrial and investment sectors,” he concluded.
