In an effort to strengthen the agricultural sector and improve the well-being of local communities, PT Gunung Sejahtera Ibu Pertiwi (GSIP) and PT Agro Menara Rachmat (AMR), a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, provided agricultural assistance to the Seroja Farmers Group in Pangkalan Tiga Village, Central Kalimantan.
The support included superior seeds, fertilizers, plant medicines, and various other agricultural necessities. This initiative is part of the company’s community contribution program, which focuses on empowering local farmers—who are the backbone of the village economy.
“We are committed to supporting farmers so they can sustainably increase their productivity and welfare,” said Pingkan Nabilla, the CSR Assistant of PT GSIP-AMR.
The Head of Pangkalan Tiga Village, Suyamto, welcomed the initiative and the assistance provided by the companies.
“With this support, we are optimistic that farmers will be more motivated in managing their land, leading to increased harvests. This will have a positive impact on the village’s economy,” said Suyamto.
The actions taken by PT GSIP-AMR not only contribute to village development but also reflect Astra Agro’s core values in fostering synergy with the community. In the future, the company is committed to continuing its efforts through programs that provide long-term benefits, particularly in supporting food security and the welfare of local farmers.
Thanks to this assistance, the farmers in Pangkalan Tiga Village are now working with renewed enthusiasm. In their daily challenges, they find reassurance that their hard work is being supported. PT GSIP-AMR believes that a brighter future for Indonesian agriculture can begin in villages that are continuously nurtured and empowered.
