PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (Astra Agro) has been honored with the “Top Midcap Issuer 2025” award during the 16th Annual Corporate Governance Conference and Award hosted by the Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD).
This recognition, supported by LKBN Antara, highlights Astra Agro’s distinction in the category of Best Sustainability and Resilience.
Mochamad Husni, Media and Public Relations Manager of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, conveyed in Jakarta on Tuesday that the company is recognized for its commitment to and consistency in upholding the principles of good corporate governance (GCG) across its business operations.
He stated, “The implementation of good corporate governance remains one of our primary focuses and priorities.”
This commitment is further exemplified through the strategic initiative, Astra Agro Sustainability Aspiration 2030, in which GCG serves as a crucial enabler for the implementation of the Triple-P Roadmap Strategy: Portfolio, People, and Public Contributions.
Husni emphasized that the principles of GCG are applicable to all employees, spanning from entry-level positions to management. The company engages in socialization efforts through various channels, ensuring that all employees are thoroughly informed of the company’s values and policies.
“In pursuit of this objective, the company prioritizes the implementation and evolution of GCG to align with the changing dynamics while remaining pertinent to business operations,” he remarked.
The IICD CG Conference & Award has been held annually for the past 16 years to acknowledge organizations that demonstrate a commitment to good corporate governance (GCG), business ethics, and social responsibility.
James Simanjuntak, a corporate governance expert and member of the IICD Board of Trustees, emphasizes that this event serves not only as a recognition for public companies that consistently adhere to GCG principles, but also as a crucial opportunity to enhance a healthy, adaptive, and sustainable business ecosystem.
The evaluation process involved 200 companies, which were categorized into 100 companies with the largest market capitalization (big cap) and 100 medium-sized companies (mid cap) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). This assessment utilized the ASEAN CG Scorecard 2023 evaluation methodology and was conducted with the support of five qualified assessors.
