Penajam Paser Utara – The risk of health conditions rises with age, making regular health screenings essential for seniors’ quality of life. To support this, PT Sukses Tani Nusasubur (STN) organized a free health screening for senior citizens at Posyandu Lestari, West Labangka Village, Babulu District.
The program offered cholesterol, uric acid, and blood glucose tests. These services allowed elderly residents to monitor their health early and address potential risks promptly.
The Head of West Labangka Village, Sarijan, expressed appreciation for the initiative, highlighting its direct benefits for the local elderly community.
“This health screening program for senior citizens is greatly needed because one of its main objectives is to help monitor their health on a regular basis,” he said on Saturday (June 20, 2026).
Sarijan stated that routine health monitoring is vital for seniors to maintain good health. He also noted that support from stakeholders in providing accessible healthcare significantly improves community well-being.
Tri Putra, representing PT STN’s management, stated that the initiative demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life in communities near its operations.
“PT Sukses Tani Nusasubur (STN) remains committed to contributing to the improvement of community well-being in the areas surrounding our operations. One manifestation of this commitment is our support for Posyandu activities and the provision of free health screenings for senior citizens at Posyandu Lestari in West Labangka Village, Babulu District,” he said.
Tri explained that seniors require special attention, especially regarding healthcare. The company aims to improve access to services and promote early detection of age-related diseases.
He expressed hope that the program would benefit elderly residents and raise public awareness about the importance of regular health check-ups. The initiative also supports government healthcare programs and strengthens the company’s relationship with local communities.
The program was made possible through collaboration among PT STN, the West Labangka Village Government, Posyandu Lestari volunteers, and local healthcare workers. This partnership supports regular health monitoring, helping elderly residents lead healthier, more active, and productive lives.
“Going forward, PT STN remains committed to delivering sustainable social programs that create meaningful and lasting benefits for the community. This commitment aligns with our Synergy of Earth and People for One Indonesia spirit through various initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life and welfare of communities surrounding our operational areas,” he concluded.
