The Astra Agro Group runs the Astra Kreatif initiative, an economic empowerment program aimed at improving the welfare of communities near its operations.
Through its subsidiaries in Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan—PT Gunung Sejahtera Dua Indah (GSDI) and PT Gunung Sejahtera Yoli Makmur (GSYM)—the Company works to foster economic self-reliance in local communities. This commitment is demonstrated through sustainable corporate social responsibility programs with measurable impact.
Aligned with the Astra Kreatif pillar, the Company supports capacity building for groups such as the Horticultural Farmers’ Group, the Fire-Conscious Farmers’ Group, and other community-based businesses that leverage local potential and indigenous knowledge.
By 2025, the Astra Kreatif program had reached 472 beneficiaries in West Kotawaringin Regency. This demonstrates the Company’s ongoing commitment to building sustainable economic self-reliance and strengthening social resilience in challenging conditions.
