The Independent Workers Union of PT Sawit Asahan Indah (SAI) and company management held an industrial relations harmonisation event to prepare for the signing of a Collective Labour Agreement (PKB). The event included providing assistance to orphans and presenting gifts to retiring employees.
This year, management and the labour union chose to organise activities with greater social and spiritual significance, rather than the recreational events held in previous years.
The event also featured a joint prayer, expressing hope that PT SAI will successfully complete the second phase of oil palm replanting and continue to contribute positively to the company, its employees, and the broader community.
‘Healthy industrial relations and a spirit of togetherness are important foundations for facing various challenges ahead, including the ongoing replanting agenda,’ said PT SAI Management, Dani Sitorus.
M. Alamsyah, Chairman of the PT SAI Independent Workers Union, described the event as a tangible demonstration of the company’s commitment to human values and appreciation for long-serving employees.
‘We appreciate the steps taken by PT SAI’s management, which is very concerned and appreciative of the services of employees entering retirement,’ said Alamsyah. He added that this activity reflects the strong synergy and effective communication between the company and the labour union.
Through this event, PT Sawit Asahan Indah reaffirmed its commitment to fostering harmonious and sustainable working relationships focused on employee welfare and community benefit.
