PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (Astra Agro), through its subsidiary PT Gunung Sejahtera Puti Pesona (PT GSPP), has reaffirmed its commitment to community benefit by contributing to infrastructure development through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
PT GSPP provided heavy equipment, including motor graders and compactors, to support repairs on the Amin Jaya–Sukamandang village road.
This two-kilometre road serves as the primary link between the villages and is essential for economic, educational, and daily activities.
The road’s previous condition caused frequent difficulties for residents, particularly during the rainy season, affecting both comfort and safety.
Improving Economic and Social Access
Sri Wahyuni, Chief of Amin Jaya Village, expressed appreciation for PT GSPP’s support, noting that the assistance directly improved economic and social access for both Amin Jaya and Sukamandang communities.
“This road is not only important for the residents of the two villages, but also for the two sub-districts in Kobar Regency and Seruyan. With the heavy equipment support from PT GSPP, the repair process can be completed more quickly, and the results are significantly better. We express our gratitude for the company’s concern for the community’s needs,” she said.
This assistance is expected to expedite repairs and enhance the road’s quality, ensuring it is safer and more comfortable for residents.
