On the morning of the inauguration, Wayambojaya Village experienced a significant transformation. Residents gathered at the Nurul Amin Mosque, which now stands with enhanced infrastructure and expanded space. The completion of the mosque’s renovation fulfilled longstanding aspirations and marked the conclusion of an extended period during which worship was conducted in a temporary, limited facility.
For many years, the Nurul Amin Mosque consisted of a modest structure constructed through the community’s initiatives. Limited space, fragile construction, and basic amenities characterized the daily worship experience for residents. Despite these challenges, the community consistently demonstrated resilience and maintained hope for a more suitable place of worship.
This aspiration was gradually realized through collaboration among multiple stakeholders. PT Mamuang, a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, partnered with the Kaili Tado indigenous community and the Martasari Village Government through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. This partnership transformed the Nurul Amin Mosque into a safe, comfortable, and functional facility capable of supporting diverse religious activities.
The renovation process was conducted in stages, involving local labor. For residents, the project represented not only physical development but also an opportunity to strengthen communal bonds. The construction process reflected the community’s commitment to mutual support and collective ownership.
Martasari Village Head, I Wayan Astawa Yasa, stated that the renovation of the Nurul Amin Mosque demonstrates the tangible benefits of effective cooperation for the village. He views the mosque as a symbol of successful communication and collaboration among the company, government, and community.
Heartfelt voices came from the residents. Asi, a representative of the Wayambojaya Hamlet community, expressed deep gratitude. The mosque, which now stands strong and comfortable, is the answer to the long wait of the residents for a place of worship suitable for communal use.
The inauguration ceremony was conducted with formality, including prayers and speeches from multiple stakeholders. The signing of the inscription by PT Mamuang Administrator M Satria Abdi CP and Martasari Village Head I Wayan Astawa Yasa, witnessed by Pedongga District Head Hengki Ismanto, signified the commencement of a new phase for the Nurul Amin Mosque.
In his remarks, M Satria Abdi CP emphasized that the mosque renovation reflects the company’s commitment to supporting community social development.
“The mosque not only serves as a place of worship, but also as a center for community unity,” said Satria in his statement on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Similarly, PT Mamuang’s CSR Assistant, Muh Fathurrohman, stated that the renovation was prioritized due to its urgency for the community.
Pedongga District Head, Hengki Ismanto, described the renovation of the Nurul Amin Mosque as a model of effective collaboration. He asserted that adequate worship facilities can enhance the quality of social and spiritual life within the community.
The Nurul Amin Mosque now serves as more than a new structure in Wayambojaya Hamlet. It stands as a symbol of perseverance, unity, and hope, providing a space for the community to gather, worship, learn, and reinforce social connections.
The renovation demonstrates that collaborative efforts, guided by shared intentions, can result in meaningful change, even in remote communities.
