Bisnis Indonesia Group honored 34 women for their contributions to sustainable development at the inaugural “Women in Sustainable Development (SDGs) Action Award 2025,” held at the Santika Premiere Slipi Hotel in Jakarta on November 11, 2025. As part of the Group’s 40th anniversary, the event recognized women who have made significant impacts across 17 SDG sectors, including the creative economy, environment, education, health, and technology.
These women have driven change, improved the quality of life in their communities, and strengthened social and economic resilience in various regions. The event also included a panel discussion, “Women and Independence,” featuring Rahayu Saraswati Djojohadikusumo, Chair of the National Anti-Trafficking Network; Alissa Wahid, Director of the GUSDURian Network; Marcella Zalianty, Chair of PARFI; and Lucia Karina, Director of Public Affairs, Communication & Sustainability at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia.
Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi congratulated the award recipients and acknowledged their role in advancing sustainable development. “This award is concrete proof that women are capable of being agents of change, pioneers of innovation, and guardians of human values,” she said. Arifah emphasized that women contribute not only in the domestic sphere but also as leaders in social, economic, educational, and environmental fields. She noted that every step women take, from villages to cities and from homes to public spaces, supports the broader movement toward sustainable development.
