PT Gunung Sejahtera Dua Indah (GSDI) and PT Gunung Sejahtera Yoli Makmur (GSYM), subsidiaries of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, recently held a Safety Campaign event themed “Safety Starts from Family.”
This event involved the families of employees and served as a clear demonstration of the company’s commitment to cultivating a comprehensive occupational safety culture. The initiative emphasizes that safety should not only be a priority in the workplace but should also begin at home, which is the foundation of a safe environment.
The event included a range of educational and interactive activities such as a safe driving campaign, an Emergency Response Simulation (ERS), fitness exercises, a Family Safety Vlog competition, and a health awareness campaign.
Through this initiative, PT GSDI and GSYM aim to give employees’ families a direct experience of the importance of safety. By involving families, the companies hope to strengthen each worker’s commitment to fostering a safe work culture.
In his speech, Galang Bayu Amanda Putra, administrator of PT GSDI GSYM, highlighted that safety is a shared responsibility that starts within the family.
“Safety does not only begin at the workplace; it starts at home. When families understand the importance of safety, every employee becomes more vigilant and motivated to work safely. Let us make families the main foundation for establishing a strong safety culture within the company,” he stated. He also expressed hope that this initiative would remind all employees of their families’ roles in supporting a culture of safety.
“I hope the ‘Safety Starts from Family’ activity will continue to remind us that families are crucial partners in maintaining safety. With this support, we can create a healthy, safe, and productive work environment,” he added.
Through this campaign, PT GSDI and GSYM reaffirm that safety is not just a slogan but a culture that must be embraced collectively.
