The Company’s vision, mission and business strategies will be successfully achieved when its staffs are able to play well their vital role. The Company’s Managements will be assisted in making the best possible decisions for the achievement of these goals by improving business process through the implementation of an integrated Human Resources System.  It is expected that the implementation of this system will ensure the optimal management of the Company’s Resources.

The Company is more intensively implementing a cadre system in the area of employee development through Coaching and Counseling, which are followed-up by the formulation of Individual Development Plans (IDP) and Individual Career Plan (ICP) for each cadre.  Through these endeavors to foster the professional and personal integrity of each member of staff, it is expected that with cadres processing professional integrity, solid morals, reliability and productivity, the Company will be able to grow and develop in line with its business targets.


Staff development programs in 2010 focused on the provision of training required to improve the Company’s productivity. There was a particular emphasis on the provision of Coaching for Corporate Performance (C4CP) program. In 2010, training of this kind was provided to all senior managerial staff. The provision of this training will be extended to other employees at staff level in the coming years.


In 2010, the Company continuously implemented the reward system with the granting of an Excellence Award and Incentives to Outstanding Performers. This system is expected to ensure that staff provides their best performance.


The Company’s permanent employees as of the end of 2010 totaled at 24,081, of whom 98.5% or 23,710 were employed at the plantation, while 1.4% or 371 were employed at the Company’s headquarters in Jakarta.
