This community was born out of the concern over the lack of opportunities for young people to create and engage in social action. Inisiasimuda serves as a bridge between idealism and tangible actions on the ground. Operating in the fields of social initiatives, education, and environmental efforts, this organization is driven solely by self-reliance, relying on the strength of proposals and gradually built networks.
Thanks to their consistency and collective effort, this small dream started to gain recognition and support. One of their significant partners is PT Letawa, a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, which regularly collaborates with Inisiasimuda through its CSR program.
The collaboration reached its peak on Sunday, June 1, 2025. In celebration of World Environment Day, they successfully organized the planting of 1,000 mangrove seedlings in Dusun Tikke Muara. This event was not merely symbolic; it was the result of thorough preparations since May, including surveys of coastal soil characteristics and the establishment of sustainable planting locations.
A total of 120 participants took part, including students from SMAN 1 Tikke, environmental volunteers, members of the nature lovers’ community, personnel from the Navy, representatives from the Pasangkayu Environmental Agency, and Tourism Ambassadors. They not only planted trees but also signed a joint commitment to preserve the area’s sustainability, with the hope that Tikke Muara will eventually become a leading ecotourism destination.
Ahmad Faizal from CSR PT Letawa highlighted the importance of environmental education from an early age. “If we want to better understand biodiversity and the functions of the mangrove ecosystem, education through nature exploration activities and mangrove trails is the right step. This is not just about planting; it’s about introducing environmental values to the younger generation,” he emphasized.
Inisiasimuda’s efforts do not end there. Their commitment to youth empowerment is also demonstrated through a national webinar titled “Impactful Village Youth,” held in a hybrid format on May 25, 2025. This event took place at Kedai Opakopi in Desa Jengeng Raya, attracting hundreds of young participants under the theme “From the Village to the World.”
The webinar featured Restuan Lubis, Ph.D., a native of Pasangkayu who now resides in Germany after completing his doctoral studies through the LPDP scholarship. Restuan shared his journey from being a farmer’s son in a village to breaking into the international arena through education. He emphasized the importance of writing down dreams, avoiding unproductive habits, and expanding networks through organizations. “The most important thing is to never forget to be devoted to your parents,” was his heartfelt message.
This webinar is part of a long-term series of programs by Inisiasimuda, which includes coaching project plans, leadership workshops, idea presentations, and concrete actions like mangrove planting initiatives and coastal environmental care campaigns.
For Fatur and his team, this is not just a series of events but a long-term process of character building, raising awareness, and demonstrating that village youth are not merely spectators in development—they can be the main actors.
They aspire to nurture a new generation of leaders, develop locally-based edupreneurs and sociopreneurs, and create sustainable food security initiatives. Moreover, they envision Inisiasimuda being able to provide scholarships for children who want to attend school but are hindered by financial constraints.
“Our dreams are big, but we start small. From the mangroves we plant today, may awareness and love for nature grow, strengthening like their roots,” Fatur expressed, his eyes filled with hope.
From Tikke Raya, these small steps have transformed into significant footprints of change. Inisiasimuda is more than just a youth community; it symbolizes that change can sprout from the margins as long as there are caring hearts and willing hands. From the village, for the world.
