PT Astra Agro Lestari, through PT Letawa, demonstrates its commitment to public health through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by providing incentive assistance for Posyandu Rambutan cadres and supplementary food packages (PMT) for toddlers in Makmur Jaya Village, Tikke Raya District, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Camat Tikke Raya, Mus Muliadi mengapresiasi kontribusi PT Letawa yang sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.
He considers the incentive program for posyandu cadres and PMT assistance to be a tangible expression of the company’s concern for social development in the surrounding villages.
“The company’s contribution to the development of the Tikke community is greatly felt. Just look at Tikke’s growth now compared to 20 years ago,” said Muliadi while attending a posyandu event in Makmur Jaya Village.
Kebun Polyclinic Doctor (Polibun) PT Letawa, Dr. Asmal Mustafa also highlighted the important role of posyandu cadres in reaching and serving the community.
According to him, the company has a social responsibility to support the cadres who work with high dedication.
“We feel the need to provide support so that they can focus more on carrying out their duties,” said Asmal.
Administrator (ADM) of PT Letawa, Unari Sarmidi, said that this program is part of the company’s efforts to support the improvement of public health quality, especially through the 17 company-supported posyandu (integrated health posts).
“We always coordinate with the sub-district government and related departments with the hope of improving the quality of health in the villages around the company,” said Unari in her statement, Thursday (12/6/2025).
He explained the importance of collaboration between companies and village governments in maintaining access to quality healthcare.
“Investment in the health sector is an important investment for the future of society. Therefore, PT Letawa will continue to be committed to supporting the health sector around its operational areas,” he said.
In line with Unari, CSR Officer of PT Letawa, Ahmad Faizal added that the company runs its social responsibility program with four main pillars, namely education and culture, economic development, environment, and health.
“We provide incentives for posyandu cadres in our first ring area’s health sector through a CSR program.”
In addition to providing incentives, Faizal continued by stating that PT Letawa has also opened emergency standby services at Polibun Letawa for community members who are not employees. Furthermore, the company conducted cadre training and held health socialization events in schools.
“Through this program, we hope to strengthen synergy with the community and create a sustainable positive impact in the fields of health and social welfare,” he explained.
Faizal emphasized that through various CSR initiatives, including the ‘Astra Sehat’ program, PT Letawa not only focuses on the sustainability of the palm oil industry but also participates in building community welfare.
In the future, we aim to further collaborate with different parties to create greater benefits for the local community, he added.
