PT Gunung Sejahtera Puti Pesona (GSPP), a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk (Astra Agro), reaffirms its commitment to supporting village community empowerment through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, titled “Astra Kreatif.”
This initiative focuses on the Sri Rejeki Women’s Farmer Group (KWT) in Kebun Agung Village, Kotawaringin Barat Regency, with the goal of fostering economic independence among housewives through the productive and sustainable use of yard space.
The handover ceremony for the assistance took place at the KWT Sri Rejeki agricultural demonstration plot in Kotawaringin Barat District, attended by the Head of Kebun Agung Village, the Chairperson of KWT Sri Rejeki, and all group members.
In this program, PT GSPP provides support in the form of fish seeds and feed, vegetable seeds, agricultural equipment, and enhancements to production facilities that support fish farming and crop cultivation. This assistance not only strengthens food security for families but also opens new business opportunities that village residents, particularly women, can manage directly.
Rohiman, the Head of Kebun Agung Village, expressed his appreciation for GSPP’s ongoing commitment to the community. “We greatly appreciate the Astra Kreatif program from PT GSPP. This is not the first time they have supported our community. This kind of support is especially impactful for housewives, who can now be more productive at home. This program not only assists us economically but also fosters a spirit of cooperation within the village,” he said.
Sriatun added, “The assistance from PT GSPP has filled us with hope and renewed enthusiasm. We can not only plant vegetables and raise fish but also learn how to manage our produce for income generation. My hope is that the women in the village become more confident and independent.”
From the company’s perspective, PT GSPP emphasizes that this program represents a tangible commitment to be present and grow alongside the village community.
“Through the Astra Kreatif program, we aim to do more than just provide assistance. We want to be an integral part of the village community’s journey toward building a more independent, green, and prosperous future.
