PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk is committed to implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the health sector through its subsidiary, PT Mamuang.
Recently, as part of its CSR program focused on health, the company organized a mass circumcision and free health check-up event in Martasari Village, Pedongga District, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi, on Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
The Head of Martasari Village, I Wayan Astawa Yasa, expressed appreciation for this initiative, stating that the partnership between the company and the village government is a significant step towards improving the community’s welfare. “We in the village government are very grateful for and appreciate programs like this. It is essential that the goals of the government and companies align in the areas of health and social issues, and we strongly support such efforts,” said I Wayan.
He also voiced hope that this collaboration would not end here, but would continue to grow in line with the village’s development vision. “I hope activities like this can be sustained and even enhanced in quality in the future. Coordination with the village government is necessary to ensure that the company’s CSR programs meet the needs of the residents,” he added.
In agreement with I Wayan, M Satria Abdi Catur Pamungkas, an Administrator of PT Mamuang, noted that this mass circumcision event was the result of discussions that began last year. “This mass circumcision has been part of our discussions since last year, and we are grateful that it has come to fruition this year. We hope this will mark the beginning of more CSR activities, particularly in the health sector,” Satria stated.
Furthermore, M Satria Abdi Catur Pamungkas emphasized that as part of the Astra Agro Lestari Group, PT Mamuang consistently implements CSR programs centered around three main pillars: Health, Education, and Social initiatives. “Through this mass circumcision program, the company aims to make a direct and meaningful contribution to the surrounding community, reflecting the spirit of Prosperity Together with the Nation promoted by Astra Agro,” he explained.
“With a commitment to collaboration and care, Astra Agro, through PT Mamuang, hopes that similar initiatives can be sustained to support the development of communities surrounding its operational areas,” he added.
