Pasangkayu Police Chief AKBP Joko Kusumadinata participated in the mangrove planting activity as part of the “Vovasanggayu Wanuakku” program organized by the Marine and Fisheries Office. This event took place in the coastal area of Pasangkayu Regency.

During his speech, the Regent of Pasangkayu emphasized that the mangrove planting initiative is more than just a ceremonial event; it is a tangible and strategic measure aimed at preserving the coastal environment.
“Mangroves play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance, preventing coastal erosion, providing habitats for various marine life, and serving as exceptional carbon sinks,” he stated. He also noted that given Pasangkayu Regency’s extensive coastline, there exists both the potential and significant responsibility to safeguard the coastal ecosystem.
Additionally, Police Chief AKBP Joko Kusumadinata reaffirmed that the event proceeded safely and smoothly. He expressed hope that similar initiatives will continue, creating a positive impact on the environment and strengthening the relationship between institutions and the community.
“By actively participating in events like this, the Pasangkayu Police Department demonstrates its commitment not only to maintaining security and order but also to supporting environmental preservation in the Pasangkayu area,” he concluded.
