PT. Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. (“AALI”) recorded total net sales of Rp 3.52 trillion in its un-audited financial report for the 1st half of 2010, a decreased by 1% compared to the same period in 2009 of Rp 3.54 trillion. The CPO average selling price in the 1st half of 2010 was Rp 6,590/kg, an increased by 3% compared to the same period in 2009 of Rp 6,386/kg, meanwhile AALI’s Cost of Good Sold (COGS) increased by 6% from Rp 2.16 trillion in the 1st. half 2009 to Rp 2.29 trillion for the same period in 2010.

The decreasing of AALI’s net sales as well as the increasing of its COGS resulted to the decrease of AALI’s Net Profit in the 1st. half of 2010 into Rp 636.45 billion from previously Rp 769.85 billion for the same period in 2009.

AALI’s CPO production in the 1st. half of 2010 reached 470,993 tons or decreased by 6% compared to the same period in 2009 of 499,444 tons. In the 1st. half of 2010 AALI added 1,337 ha of new oil palm planted area, therefore the total of oil palm plantation managed by AALI become 265,373 ha of which 207,864 Ha is mature plantation. AALI operated 21 Palm Oil mills with the total capacity of 985 tons Fresh Fruits Bunch (FFB/hour).
